Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Junaid Khan expressed his excitement for the inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL) edition, which will start from February 4. He emphasized that he is really looking forward to bringing in his A- game for upcoming PSL meet. Junaid Khan who plays for Peshawar Zalmi, while expressing his views, he said :
“I’m really excited about the PSL, as it presents us with a great opportunity to show the world that we can organize a major T20 league. I would have been happy to play for any team, but as a Pathan, it’s special to be playing for Peshawar Zalmi.”
Khan, who was dropped after a disappointing tour of Bangladesh, said he is hopeful about his future in the Pakistan team.
“I don’t think people should write me off,” said Junaid. “I feel that if you can come back from adversity like injuries, then that makes you a stronger person and toughens you up. I am 110% sure that the old Junaid Khan is back and I believe my best cricketing years are ahead of me.”
The 24-year-old also said that he agrees with people who compare him to Spanish footballer Esteban Granero.
