Multan Sultans is sixth Twenty20 franchise cricket team of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team was formed in 2017. Shan Masood is the current captain of the team.

Schön Properties who bought the team in 2017 failed to pay their annual fee of US$5.2 million and thus their contract was expired. Ali Khan Tareen and Taimoor Malik of Multan Consortium became the new owners of the team, who won the rights of the team on 20 December 2018 for US$6.2 million, they decided not to change the name of the team.

Team name is Multan Sultans. Multan is city in south punjab and also known as city of saints. Word 'Sultan' points to Multan's traditions & heritage representing large number of saints from the area .
