Pakistan veteran cricketer Younus khan talked to media here in Charsadda. He said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should arrange a referendum regarding the inclusion of tainted trio Muhammad Amir (Karachi Kings), Salman butt and Muhammad Asif in the national team.

Younus was addressing the media in the Charsadda Press Chamber. The 38-year-old said that the trio had brought bad name to Pakistan and that is the reason the nation is divided over their return. He said that the PCB should not take the decision on their own, and should instead inquire about the nation’s opinion through a public poll.

The right-hand batsman also commented on the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL), saying that the tournament has a bright future. He added that Pakistani cricketers are able enough to attract crowds through their performances.

The highest run-scorer in Tests for Pakistan added that he is the advisor to the PCB chairman on cricketing matters and his services are always at the board’s disposal. Younus was also critical of Pakistani players when was asked about Lahore Qalandars leg-spinner Yasir Shah’s positive dope test. He said that our players ignore world standards of fitness and then blame others for their own mistake.
